Happy Birthday Leonard!

Leonard recently went to the EAA Oshkosh Wisconsin Fly-In.  He usually does a talk for the forums.  He talked about the Legal Eagle on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.  After the forum, the EAA ladies at the “Red Barn” area for the ultralights had a very nice surprise for Leonard.  

A loudspeaker announced that Leonard was born July 29, 1924, and we want to honor him with a cake and this special 100th birthday celebration.  They brought out a big cake with Leonard’s picture on it.  A good 70 or 80 people were there and sang “Happy Birthday.”  Leonard was thankful and was handed the microphone, where he stated how pleased he was and said he was very grateful to be acknowledged.  He said he owed his long life to attending the gym for 30 years.  And then, he was handed the first piece of cake.  It was a very good time for all who attended, and many greeted Leonard and were happy to shake his hand.  Some groaned about the gym workouts. Many recognized his contribution to ultralight aviation, stating that they were a builder and enjoyed the airplanes he designed over the last 25 years.
