The Legal Eagle Ultralight

The airplane was built at Park Rapids High School as an after-hours shop class project.  Denny Sleen was the shop class teacher who organized the project.  He got the plans and materials together and taught the students for a few hours each week after school hours.  It took over three years as an aviation club project.  As many as 25 students had a hand in building the Legal Eagle airplane.  Denny says the project would have been finished much sooner if he had not taken the time to teach.  It was finished in 2014, and the short video on the grass strip was taken the first summer it was completed.  They did a beautiful job, yes indeed!
